I live in Paris. I work at the LIX Computer Science lab. The nearest train station is Lozère. From there take the "Sentier de l'Ecole Polytechnique" (visible on the map) and you'll get out of the woods at the South of the bunch semi-circular buildings of the campus (the path coming out of the woods is visible on the satellite picture). The "Sentier de l'Ecole Polytechnique" is a stairway. Once you're on it, walk up, then turn left, you're on the campus.
Some nice spots in Paris. A really good vietnamese restaurant: Phở 14. The parc floral (reachable from M° Chateau de Vincennes, following the crowd), especially during the Paris Jazz Festival. Two good twin movie theaters near my place, on the riverbanks.
I spent Summer 2004 in Kyôto. I lived in the HdB guesthouse, it's a nice place. I was doing some internship at Kyôto University, here.
I also visited the Computer Science dept. of University of Minnesota. I stayed at the DaysInn University hotel.
During September 2006 I visited the RSISE lab of the Australian National University in Canberra. I lived at the Fenner Hall.
